It is also used as a wear - resistant additive for abrasives ( resin wheels , abrasive cloths ), fluxes for welding consumables ( welding rods , welding wires , fluxes ), and resistance to friction materials ( friction plates , brake pads ). Grinding additives , fluxes for ferroalloys and boiling steels , non - ferrous metal fluxes ( refining agents , slag -removing agents , slag removing agents , etc .), deoxidizer slag removers ,enamel emulsifiers , glass opacifiers , ceramic glaze fillers , Pesticides , insecti-cides , fireworks and firecrackers , explosives , smokers , refractories , etc .
