Ammonium Bifluoride is used as glass etchant, antiseptic, disinfector, analytical reagent, the solvent in beryllia producing beryllium metal and the treatment of the surface of silicon steel plate. It is also used as the oxidant in producing pottery and aluminum magnesium alloy, the cleaning agent of boiler water-supply system an evap-orator system, the acidification treatment of sand in oil field, the fluorination reagent in organic synthesis and the extraction of rare element.
