Inorganic Aluminium Fluoride for Aluminum Electrolysis as Electrolyte Regulator
Aluminum fluoride is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula AlF₃, prepared by the reaction of aluminum hydroxide or metallic aluminum and hydrogen fluoride, or by the action of aluminum trichloride with hydrofluoric acid and ammonia.
Colorless or white crystal. Insoluble in water, insoluble in acids and bases. Stable in nature, can be hydrolyzed under the condition of heating.
Used in aluminum electrolysis as electrolyte regulator and catalyst.
