Alumina, chemical symbol Al2O3, molecular weight 102, pure alumina is a white amorphous powder, commonly known as bauxite, the density of 3.9-4.0g/cm3, the melting point of 2050 DEG C, the boiling point of 2980 DEG C, insoluble in water, is an amphoteric oxide, soluble inorganic acid and alkaline solution, there are four kinds of an isomer of delta beta alumina V - A - alumina alumina alumina, mainly alpha and gamma type two variants, the industry can be extracted from bauxite.
